pushinghoopswithsticks:

485 kids from Kolkata marked the 64th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s passing by setting a new Guinness World Record last week for most children dressed as the late leader. The previous record was set in 2010 by 255 students from the south Indian city of Coimbatore.

In addition to setting the record, the boys, aged 10 to 16, took part in a half-kilometer trek through Kolkata meant to symbolize the revolutionary Dandi Salt March of 1930.
